Why this matters for your registration
- •CQC wants to understand how your staff will be prepared to deliver the service described in your application and Statement of Purpose.
- •Your plan should connect with your service-user bands, the needs of the people you intend to support and the different roles within your organisation.
- •A structured training plan also helps demonstrate compliance with Regulation 18: Staffing and the Care Certificate expectations where applicable.
What you should prepare
- •Your induction arrangements for new staff, including how they are prepared before working independently.
- •Mandatory training topics relevant to your actual home care service and workforce responsibilities.
- •Training requirements by job role, including managers, care staff, coordinators, supervisors and office-based staff where relevant.
- •Specialist training linked to the people you intend to support, such as dementia, mental health, sensory impairment, autism or learning disability support.
- •Your chosen training providers, refresher frequencies and how ongoing supervision, learning and development will be maintained.
- •Any additional support arrangements for overseas workers and how your plan aligns with your wider staffing structure and service model.
